De verdeling van kunstmest in het veld varieert met de rijsnelheid. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van het Franse INRAE onderzoeksinstituut. Met behulp van SpeedControl zou de afgifte nauwkeuriger en constanter zijn. SpeedControl past het strooien van de kunstmest in het veld in real time aan door middel van het aanpassen van het valpunt op de strooischotel.
