Er komt geen warmte vrij, waardoor de haspel ook als lichtbron overal probleemloos toepasbaar is. De stralingshoek van de lamp is 120\u00c2\u00b0 en het vermogen slechts 12W. De lamp is op de haspel in- en uit te schakelen. De kabelhaspel is robuust gebouwd, onbreekbaar en bestand tegen de meeste chemicali\u00ebn. Hij is uitgerust met vier spatwaterdichte 16A\/250V contactdozen met zelfsluitende deksel, thermobeveiliging en spanningindicatie.
