De robot draagt voor Nederlandse begrippen een ietwat onheilspellende naam: DooD. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Drie zelfstandig ondernemers hebben in 2014 Earth Automations opgericht. Een van de hoofddoelen van het bedrijf is het autonoom maken van teeltprocessen. Het eerste wapenfeit van de drie ondernemers is de DooD. De rupstrekker heeft een stage V motor die loopt op biodiesel. Daaruit wordt een vermogen van 55 kW (75 pk) gehaald. De brandstoftank heeft een inhoud van 180 liter, standaard heeft de robot een 540\/540eco aftakas en de DooD heeft een leeggewicht van 3.200 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geringe hoogte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Op EIMA International is de robot uitgevoerd met een klepelmaaier. Met de geringe hoogte van 1,529 meter is de machine geschikt voor werkzaamheden onder een bladerdak in boomgaarden. Daar lag in de testfase ook de nadruk op. Andere werktuigen zijn mondjesmaat getest. Het rupsvoertuig vindt z\u2019n weg met behulp van gps. Ook is het mogelijk de machine met een afstandsbediening te besturen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
