De machine is ontwikkeld door Cropr uit Rijswijk (ZH.) en Blok Mechanisatie brengt de machine in Flevoland aan de man. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volgend jaar moet de machine, behalve in witlof, ook onkruid kunnen bestrijden in uien, wortelen en lelies. De foto\u2019s die voor die algoritmen nodig zijn worden dit seizoen gemaakt door het prototype van de Weedr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Weedr heeft tien laserboxen met elk een werkbreedte van 60 cm. Door de overlap werken de lasers ook in elkaars werkgebied waardoor de machine sneller en nauwkeuriger kan werken. Staat er niet al te veel onkruid, dan is de werksnelheid 2 km\/h. De tien lasers kunnen samen 28 keer per seconde \u2018schieten\u2019 met blauwe lasers die beter worden geabsorbeerd door het chlorofyl in het onkruidblad. De spoorbreedte van de Weedr kan in stappen van 5 cm worden aangepast van 150 tot 225 cm. Aan boord van de machine is een dieselgenerator die de elektrische aandrijving voedt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit jaar draaien er vijf Cropr Weedr-laserwieders. Blok Mechanisatie wil er volgend jaar 25 verkopen. De machine kost 180.000 euro, exclusief een serviceabonnement van 10.000 euro voor de eerste 500 draaiuren.
